Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Update

In line with government advice Kingsway Primary School closed on Friday 20th March and will not fully re-open until further notice. Due to the current high level of coronavirus linked staff absences and the number of parents who have self identified  as key workers school is unable to open at all on  Monday 23rd March. If we are able to offer your child a childcare place from Tuesday 24th March you will be contacted directly by school on Monday 23rd March. Please do not phone the school as this will delay the process. If you have not been contacted by school you should not bring your child to school.

The government has stated that,

'If children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading. That is why the government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.
Every child who can be safely cared for at home should be, to limit the chance of the virus spreading.'

School information is subject to change at short notice given that staff numbers at school could change from one day to the next, please check our school website daily up to date information.

Thank you for your co-operation in keeping your children and families and our staff safe.
