Team Kingsway 19th March
It has been a bit of a mixed week for Team Kingsway this week. We are of course so pleased that the children returned to school and that face to face teaching resumed again. We are devastated that we have had to close some class bubbles due to positive test results and that some children are having to self-isolate and learn at home once again.
Closing a bubble is not a decision we take lightly, but it is the right action to take in order to prevent the possible spread of Covid-19 to other members of the school community and to the wider community. We communicate bubble closures as soon as we can to parents / carers and all of the information regarding actions to follow are included in the letters I send out directly to parents / carers.
Concerns have been raised about parents / carers and children who have been seen mixing outside of school without observing social distancing or wearing face coverings. Children in different class and year group bubbles from several different families have also been observed playing together in groups. Child to child transmission from the mixing taking place outside of school will ultimately affect school despite all of the procedures we have in place.
We have constantly requested that parents / carers maintain social distance on our school site. This includes from staff and each other when dropping off and collecting children. The 2 metre lines and posters as a reminder to keep apart when moving through to the playground. As soon as you have collected your child / children you should leave the school site.
Please help us by following the all of the government and school guidance so that we are able to keep all children in school.
