Hello Team Kingsway
Another week of mixed weather… it always seem to rain during school drop off and pick up times! Luckily, we have been able to carry on with our outdoor breaks, PE and outdoor learning throughout the school day.
You may have seen or read about the latest government announcement regarding the wearing of face coverings in schools. This largely relates to secondary schools where the wearing of face coverings in classrooms by children was strongly recommended. The government have continued to recommend the wearing of face coverings by staff and visitors where 2 metre social distancing is not possible (e.g. when parents / carers come through the gate onto the school site). They also continue to recommend hand washing, social distancing and ‘bubble.’ Therefore, for the time being there will be no changes to our school Covid procedures. We hope that the latest Indian variant of the virus doesn’t affect the progress we have made too much.
Thank you for the positive feedback about the Sparkle Book assembly posts on Classdojo. It is lovely to share the children’s successes with parents and carers. Our school council meeting (held virtually of course) took place this week. The children are keen to have a special reward to go with the certificate, star on the display and stickers we give out so we are looking at this now.
Take care, stay safe and be kind.
Mrs Bradbury and all the staff and governors at Kingsway.
