Team Kingsway 7th January

Welcome back Team Kingsway! We’ve had a great start to the Spring Term this week.

On Thursday during our walk around school myself, Mr Wilson and Miss Limb were very pleased to see how hard all of the children were working. There was a lovely learning ‘buzz’ around the school and the children were keen to celebrate their work with us. Well done Kingsway!

The children have lined up brilliantly each morning and have enjoyed being greeted by their teachers. This will continue as it has really helped with a calm start to the day and the children have settled to their learning quickly.

We have adapted lunchtimes, which we also trialled before the Christmas holidays. It has been great to see how well children are playing and using the lunchtime equipment in their games. They are also enjoying the extra space available due to the changes we made to the playground over the Christmas break.

The INSET Days and holiday dates until the end of the school year are now posted as events on class dojo so hopefully this will be helpful for parents and carers.

We are aware that the area of Ashfield has the highest Covid cases outside of the Nottingham City area and that transmission of the Omicron variant is particularly high in our local area at the moment. We will continue with the measures we have in place and do everything possible to keep Kingsway running as normal.

We hope that you all have a great weekend. Stay safe.

See you all again on Monday.

Mrs Bradbury and all the staff at Kingsway
