Hello Team Kingsway
Hello Team Kingsway
Please see below an email from the staff at The National Holocaust Centre following our Year 5 visit last week. We are very proud of the children's conduct and engagement during the visit.
Dear Mrs Bradbury,
I hope that you are well. I wanted to share a huge thank you from us for the absolutely wonderful behaviour and approach of your students during their visit to the Holocaust Centre on Thursday. The students joined us for a very important event- the planting of an oak tree to mark the 80 year anniversary of the Association of Jewish Refugees as part of our Holocaust Memorial Day commemorations. The students were outstanding in every respect. Four of the students spoke during the event, and they were mature and respectful in the sharing of their learning- and wonderful readers. Two of the students also replaced some of the top soil- but they were joined by many others who also wanted to be involved! We were extremely privileged to be joined by two members of our survivor family and the students hung off their every word as they spoke to them- for Ruth and Simon being with students was the most moving part of their day. I have received a lovely email from our colleague at AJR who joined us for the event- praising the children for their outstanding engagement.
We owe you our very sincere thanks for enabling your students to play such a special role in marking a very important day.
With thanks and very best wishes,
Louise
