Team Kingsway 4th March

Hello Team Kingsway

It may have been a bit cloudy and rainy this week, but the children and staff certainly still managed to bring the sunshine into school!

We had fantastic news about the amount of money raised as part of the visit to Kingsway from Sam Oldham. A huge thank you to children and parents for their great fundraising efforts. The visit was an inspirational experience for the children and they are now looking forward to some more sports equipment.

Marty the Robot, our latest member of Team Kingsway, visited Red and Blue Butterflies this week. As well as programming Marty the children also used our Sphero robots….we think we may have quite a few computer wizards in Butterflies!

We all had great fun on Thursday during World Book Day. Everyone looked very different with red and blue and the variety of activities from ‘The Smeds and The Smoos’ across the whole school were great. The teacher draw to read to a different class was very exciting and everyone enjoyed seeing someone new in their classroom.

We seem to be having great success with our multiplication and division skills at the moment. In each class I have been in this week I have seen just how quick the children have become with their Rock Stars challenge. Their scores were amazing and it is great to see how much they have improved.

We hope that you have all received a letter about our face-to-face parents’ evenings Monday 28th March and Tuesday 29th March. Staff are now sorting out timeslots from returned slips and co-ordinating with other class teachers in order to take into account appointment times for siblings.

We hope that you all enjoy your weekend. Stay safe and be kind.

See you all again on Monday.

Mrs Bradbury and all the staff at Kingsway.
